I’m interested in moving my hosting from where it is currently at. I’m on a 5GB space / 50GB bandwidth plan for $36 a year thru what used to be hostpc.com.
I realize that’s a ridiculously small amount to pay, but my website occupies about 3.5Gb worth of pictures, all of which are served on individual picture pages, it hasn’t ever generated more than 10GB of bandwidth in any month for the past 6 years. Any video I use is hosted out on YouTube, and I’m pretty computer literate (see the “About” part of the page), so I’m not going to generate a lot of work on your side with newbie questions and the like. I buy the FTP account, and we go from there.
I have no requirements/expectations for guaranteed uptime, although I would appreciate it if when you were changing server settings, and blew away the syntax 6000 pages used for server side includes … that you’d give me more warning than 20 emails from other individuals saying “Hey, your website doesn’t work anymore”. But I digress.
I was recommended to you by one of my acquaintances, and I thought I’d check in locally before I pursued other hosting alternatives.

Once upon a time we competed in the budget hosting space, but today we’re focused on providing excellent service to customers who can’t tolerate downtime — even if it’s just for a few moments. Our focus on reliability for “mission critical” web hosting drives up the price well beyond what you’re paying today (the monthly price for our Fusion web hosting starts around your annual price with hostpc.com). Since you don’t have any requirements or expectations for uptime I have a feeling that we may not be the greatest fit for you.
