Running the WordPress CMS (content management system) on a Donet Fusion Web Site is a match made in heaven. If you’ve ever wanted to use WordPress to manage your web site, but didn’t know how to get started, we’ve put together a quick (~6 minute) video tutorial on how to install WordPress inside your Fusion web site from Donet.
Fusion is Donet’s newest generation of shared web hosting. Over a year in the making, Donet’s Fusion web hosting offers physical server load balancing blended with VIP instances to provide an extraordinary level of performance and high-availability. Fusion not only gives you a highly reliable hosting platform, but our secure, scalable, and state of the art server implementation will suit your organization’s web site needs for years to come.
WordPress is an open source blog/CMS platform that is incredibly functional and flexible. Thousands of third-party plugins have been written for WordPress that you can freely download and include on your web site, and you can customize your template to do anything you want. We’ve been using WordPress for nearly six years now to run the main Donet web site (www.donet.com), and the Donet Blog (blog.donet.com). A lot of web designers are using WordPress today, allowing the designers to control the look and layout of a site while giving the end user more control over their web site copy.

If you’re still sitting on the fence about using WordPress and Donet’s Fusion web hosting, take a look at the Fraze Pavilion’s web site. Fraze uses WordPress to manage their web content, including the annual season lineup and event photo galleries. AND the site is hosted here, inside Donet’s Fusion web hosting environment!

The video tutorial doesn’t appear. I tried both firefox and IE. If I right click the area I do see an adobe flash player 10 menu but the area does not show any flash player controls.
Tim — I’ll have to check into it with a few different systems. It seems to work perfectly with my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook.
